What is the style of worship? Worship at Government Street Presbyterian Church is considered traditional. The congregation participates in worship through song, Scripture reading, sermons, prayer and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

How long is worship? Most arrive shortly before 11:00 A.M. and after greeting others pray silently until the hour is sounded. Worship typically concludes by 12 noon.

Is there a dress code? No. Some men wear suits, others do not. Some women wear dresses, others choose slacks. Come as you are.

What about the children? A nursery for newborns- toddlers is provided in the education building accessible from S. Jackson Street entrance or sanctuary stairs. Children ages 3- 6 sit with their parents until the Lesson for Young Christians offered at the baptismal font. Afterwards, they are invited to attend Wee Worship led by volunteers in our educational building until worship concludes.
